Sr. Pastor: Rev Carl Knapp Pastor Carl is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. He became Sr. Pastor of  PHUMC in July of 2006. He holds a Masters of Divinity Degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University and a BS degree in Human Services Agency Management from Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO. He is married to Melissa and has two sons, Cameron ( 9 ) and Evan ( 7 ).   Office Manager: Susana Wheeler  Susana is new on staff at PHUMC. Her duties include managing accounts payable and receivable, editing/mailing the monthly newsletter, answering phone calls, welcoming visitors to the church during the week, managing accounts with vendors, and other tasks that assist in the excellence of ministry. She has been married to her husband Ed for 23yrs. They have four children, a son, Brett, and three daughters, Brenna, Baleigh and Bentli.  Susana enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and being outside.  Rainbow Kingdom Preschool Director: Teresa Vaughan  Teresa was hired as our church Preschool Director in May of 1998. This makes her the longest tenured person on our church staff. Teresa is responsible for all aspects of our Preschool and Parent's Day Out programs. These duties include but are not limited to: hiring/training teachers, supervising staff, coordinating lesson plans, communicating with parents, staff meetings, ensuring readiness of facilities and materials, and maintaining the budget. Teresa's family includes her husband, Randy, her son ,Steven (12), her son, David (5), dog ,Diamond (yellow lab), and a Beta fish named Shaggy. When away from the church, Teresa enjoys camping, reading, scrapbooking, relaxing, spending time with family, and gardening. Teresa's hours are 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Minister of Congregational Care: Vicky Bradshaw  

Vicky has been a part of PHUMC for 33 years and joined our staff on July 1, 2009. She brings wonderful warmth, compassion, and care to our team of dedicated people working for the church. Vicky gives vision and direction to our congregational care ministries, does monthly visitation of nursing home residents, shut-ins, and follow-up care of persons recovering from hospital stays, illness/injury, and/or loss. She is also responsible for recruiting, training, and deploying members of the congregation in the caring ministry programs. Vicky is married to Dean and between them they have 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter. Vicky maintains a flexible work schedule that is part-time. She dedicates Mondays and Tuesdays 9am-2pm for her set working hours. Her interests include: her grandchildren, swinging on the porch with her husband, and reading. 

  Custodian: Roger Winkle  Roger has been a member of this congregation for 11 years and joined the staff in March of 2009. He is married to Sereta and together they have two grown children (John and Stephanie). Roger brings many varied skills and experiences to our staff team. He is in charge of ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the church facilities. He is an early riser and is on the job 5:30am-2:30pm Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. He comes in on Saturdays to ensure things are ready for Sunday services. His hobbies include gardening, reading, and learning new things. 

 
Spiritual Formation Coordinator for Children and Youth: Nancy Lyngar  Nancy is married to Frank Lyngar. She is the mother of Carrie Ryerson, Maegan Blake, and Matt Gillespie. She is also a grandmother to Jordan, Dylan, and Taylor Ryerson, and Jolyn and Dane ("Happy") Blake. Nancy loves being a grandma...she is called "Nene". She enjoys crafts of all kinds. She also enjoys (very much) creating curriculums and working with church friends on projects at PHUMC!  As Coordinator of Youth and Children's Ministries her responsibilities include working with junior and senior high youth directors (Julie McBride) in building a new youth ministry program.
This responsibility is added to my continued involvement with children's ministry programs...over-seeing the children's church school program (with the help of Charlotte Dennis) and the children's Sunday school program (with the help of Deenia Hocker), as well as VBS. A most exciting part of my responsibilities has been to help bring the LOGOS program to PHUMC. This is a fantastic church-wide ministry that began in October of 2009!

Sr. High Director: Julie McBride As part of the Youth Ministry Staff Team Julie volunteers her time to direct our High School Youth program. Julie is a full-time employee of Fike Corporation, in Blue Springs, as a Senior Quality Engineer. She brings much enthusiasm and energy to our staff. Julie says, "Involvement in the spiritual journey of today's youth provides such an insight to the power of Jesus' love for us. I am sincerely honored to be part of such an inspiring group of people." It is the responsibility of our High School Youth Director to develop curriculum that supports the spiritual and social needs of youth in the church and community. Julie has been married to Robert for 22 years and they are the parents of two wonderful sons ,Brendan (21), and ,Bryan (20). They also have a Blue Heeler mix named Lizzy. She enjoys any activity that she can do outdoors.  

Choir Director: Maurice O'Neill Maurice has been our Vocal Music Director since August 1, 2004. He directs the Chancel Choir (Wednesday rehearsals and Sunday services), selects worship music, prepares special seasonal presentations, and offers devotions for spiritual developement of the choir. Maurice is married to Janet and has two sons, Michael (21 - a student at Central Methodist University) and Andrew (18 - a Senior at Pleasant Hil High School). He is also employed as a Customer Service Manager at the Harrisonville Wal-Mart. His interests and hobbies include music and/or arranging several selections for our local show choirs. He is a fan of Star Trek, Tom Clancy, and Adrian Monk. Maurice can be contacted via email at: mojan12@netzero.net
 

Organist: Marie Roach Marie has attended PHUMC since she was in the 5th grade and joined the church as a senior in High School. She has sung in the choir, played in the bell choir, and was at one time a part-time/substitute organist. She became a full-time organist in November of 1982. Marie is very talented and provides service music for the traditional service and any other services the pastor requests. She also plays for many weddings and funerals. Marie is a teacher at East Lynne School Mon. through Fri. 8:00am-4:30pm (most days); she gives some private music lessons at various times; she is at church Wednesdays 7:30pm-8:30pm and Sundays 10:00am-12:00pm. In her free time she spends time with her daughters, (Alice and Danielle), reads, works on the farm with her husband ,Mickey, and gardens.
