LOGOS Training

PHUMC hosted a LOGOS Training Event August 13 - 15, it was a great learning experience for me and about 25 others.  The event leaders came from Huntsville, AL and Hutchinson, KS and then there was our own Nancy.  People came from different places in MO, some from Iowa and some from Nebraska.  During 2nd Service the whole group played chimes or were in the choir (with little practice) but almost everyone was wonderful --- I was the one mouthing the words as I tried not to throw everyone off.  Many PHUMCers helped with set up, dinners, snacks and clean up - WAY TO&nbs

The Adventurer's Sunday School Class

On Sunday I visited the Adventurer’s Sunday School Class in Room 300 (also known as Phil’s class).  Their topic was “How Important Is Belief in an Afterlife?”  with scripture from 1Cor 15:19.  Julie read the lesson (and did a spectacular job) with Phil throwing out questions.  If you are looking for a class with lively discussion and a welcoming spirit this is it.  Thank you Adventurer’s for letting me sit in.
