All third through sixth graders are invited to become acolytes. What are acolytes?? They symbolically carry the light of christ at the beginning of each service lighting the candles on the altar and reminding the worshippers that the Holy Spirit is with us. At the end of the service, the acolytes extinguish the candles, carrying the light of Christ into the world. What better way for children to become involved in the church.
